How it comes together

    Sauté onion in olive oil 5 minutes. Add garlic and spices, stir 60 seconds.

    Add sweet potato, tomatoes, beans, and broth. Simmer 25 minutes until sweet potato is tender.

    Adjust with salt, pepper, and a tsp of maple syrup for balance.

    Serve with avocado, cilantro, red onion, and lime.
